How to Make a Door Threshold Yourself

Today, we are going to see how to make a door threshold yourself.

First of all, you need to choose the metal suited to its application. To avoid slips, it is better to use plates with texture, such as the non-slip aluminum. With a thickness of 4 mm, it is rigid enough to support the passage of a person, provided you fix your plate to a support by welding or with screws if there is a gap underneath. So you can use it in front of the house, or in the garden for example.

To fill a groove in front of your garage, choose non-slip steel that can support the weight of a light vehicle. You will need to treat it against corrosion with a galvanization spray can or a John Steel anti-rust paint.

The goal of this project was to fill the gap between my house and my garage, about 10 cm. I first screwed the aluminum plate onto a support with 3 screws and then glued a plastic corner to hide the underside of the door, followed by finishing silicone for the various angles."

Bonjour
c'est à peu près ce que je recherche, une plaque alu de 117 x 17mm et 2mm d'épaisseur suffirait puisqu'elle ne ferra que recouvrir un seuil existant.
Pouvez-vous me faire une offre, je m'occuperai des découpes aux extrémités

Dans votre situation, effectivement c'est un très bon choix. Comme le but d'un seuil de porte est de protéger, une épaisseur de 2mm est suffisante.
