What are the types of wooden worktops

Two main techniques are used for manufacturing a solid wood worktop:

  • Plans with continuous slats: where each strip of wood extends over the entire length of the plan (Rustic and Cabinetmaking Range)
  • Multi-line plans: Made by gluing veneer layers perpendicular to the surface and it is a superior quality product.

Although butt-jointed planks have a reputation for being a little more durable, we suggest basing your decision primarily on aesthetics, as both manufacturing methods provide sufficient sturdiness for use in the kitchen.

Quality wood species

We offer two high-quality wood species for the design of your worktop. If you are looking for a warm and authentic atmosphere, we recommend our multi-line beech, a wood species characterized by its dark color. For those who prefer a brighter ambiance, we also offer spruce triply. This wood is made from three panels carefully glued together, providing a clear and calming aesthetic.

Each species has been selected for its durability and beauty, ensuring that your worktop will be both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
