Creating an F1 Steering Wheel for a Car Simulator

While the configurator on www.john-steel.com offers many possibilities for basic shapes and specific cuts, the John Steel DXF metal cutting tool has the advantage of allowing the cutting of complex parts composed of Bézier curves. That is precisely what our Steelster Davyn did, creating his F1 steering wheel for his car simulator.

To realize his project, Davyn needed to have several metal parts cut:

the front and back faces of the steering wheel in 3mm film-coated aluminum (covered with 3M carbon)
the gear shift paddles in 2mm aluminum

Cut a part from a drawing

The interior of the steering wheel was created using 3D printing.

Les fichiers 3d sont ils dispo ?

Les fichiers sont exclusivement en 2D au format .DXF ; aucun fichier 3D n'est utilisé.

Malheureusement, s'agissant d'un projet personnel, les fichiers ne peuvent pas être partagés publiquement.
