Create a custom stainless steel access panel

An access panel – there are several models with predefined dimensions from manufacturers. But when you have a specific project with particular measurements, it's hard to find what you need. Discover right away the story of our Steelster who was able to create his custom stainless steel access panel with John Steel.

A stainless steel access panel to reach the technical installations in his bathroom 🛁

Our Steelster Gérard unfortunately had a major leak in his bathroom that forced him to demolish and redo almost the entire room. Determined to make it even more beautiful than before, he embarked on major renovation work: installation of an Italian-style shower, new bathtub, new plumbing… In short, a big project. To keep the charm of his previous bathroom, he wanted to preserve as much of the existing wall tiles as possible. The only problem was that some were missing, especially around the shower faucet.

Since he had just gone through a bad experience with his leak, he came up with the brilliant idea of keeping access to the plumbing behind the existing shower faucet by adding a stainless steel plate. A way to more easily access the water distribution system in case of need. Of course,316L stainless steel is the ideal reference for wet rooms since it is particularly resistant to corrosion.

Here, Gérard choseraw marine 316L stainless steel with a chemical protection raw finish to contrast with the original faucet fixture. A very useful and highly decorative plate approved by the SteelTeam!

How to create your custom stainless steel access panel?

Take the measurements of your future access panel, making sure to write the values in millimeters
Go to the Stainless Steel range on www.john-steel.com and choose the alloy that best suits your project (316L stainless steel for the bathroom)
Choose thethickness and the shape of your access panel base according to your needs (5 mm rectangle like Gérard)
Enter your dimensions in millimeters (295 x 600 mm for example)
Confirm, pay, receive, and install!

Je souhaite obtenir un chiffrage pour une structure comprenant un cadre rigide en inox 316L, intégré à l’habillage bois, aux dimensions extérieures 78 × 64 cm et intérieures 64 × 50 cm. Ce support sera destiné à être intégré dans une tranche technique habillée en bois exotique de 4,5 cm d’épaisseur.
