A perforated steel plate is the core of a modern, high-precision welding bench. Unlike standard sheet metal, it requires industrial-grade cutting to ensure perfect alignment for your assemblies. It provides the necessary rigidity to withstand clamping pressure and the ideal thermal mass (~90 kg for 1200x800 mm) to absorb welding heat without warping.
💡 Pro Tip: For intensive TIG or MIG/MAG assembly, never use a plate thinner than 10mm. Thinner plates risk hole ovalization over time due to pin stress. Since the steel is supplied raw to ensure perfect electrical conductivity with your earth clamp, always apply an anti-spatter spray before working to prevent weld splatter from adhering to the surface.
Raw steel is easily cleaned with a metal degreaser. To protect your surface from oxidation between projects, simply apply a light coat of protective oil with a cloth.
