Few tips for how to clean a mirror !
6 mars 2024Do you still have marks on your mirror even after cleaning it with the latest spray ? If you’re here, it’s because you need a few tips on how to clean your mirror and say goodbye to those nasty marks.
Here are 4 different tips to get rid of them !
A few simple steps before cleaning your mirror !
Dust off your mirror
Before you start your cleaning session, always remember to dust your mirror first. This will ensure you have a healthy surface ready for stripping !
We recommend using a microfibre cloth, but if you don’t have microfibres, you can simply use a soft cloth. The techniques I’m going to give you today are simple, effective and healthy.
Prepare your equipment
- Lemon juice
- A potato
- White vinegar
- Soap
- Hot water
- A spray bottle
- A few clean rags
And now you’re ready to fight the streaks on your mirror !
4 easy ways to clean your mirror
Tip 1 – Lemon juice
Mix lemon juice and warm water in a spray bottle. Then spray your cloth with this mixture and rub your mirror using up and down movements.
Tip 2 – Potatoes
Cut a potato in half and rub its flesh into your mirror. Use a soft cloth with a few drops of white vinegar. Then rub your mirror in an up-and-down motion to remove any marks.
Tip 3 – White vinegar
Take a spray bottle and fill it halfway with hot water, then add white vinegar. Use this mixture to wash your mirrors, using an up-and-down motion with a microfibre cloth.
Tip 4 – The white of Meudon
This technique is a little stronger than the others, so it’s certainly the most effective !
You can also use blanc de Meudon to clean your mirrors. Mix Meudon white, soap and warm water in a container. Soak your cloth in this mixture and wash your mirrors. Finally, dry with a clean cloth.
Did you know that it’s possible to have a custom-made mirror in stainless steel ?
This type of stainless steel is an almost perfect imitation of the mirror we all know so well. Mirror stainless steel is much sought-after for its more noble appearance than glass. Thanks to the properties of stainless steel, it adapts perfectly to humid and food environments without the risk of shattering into a thousand pieces like its cousin. So you can use it to decorate your bathroom, kitchen or living room.
What’s more, we can make cut-outs up to 2980 x 1480 mm, so you can cover a wall from floor to ceiling, for example. This type of stainless steel can add a chic, trendy touch to your home’s interior design.
With these superb tips, you can now forget about fingerprints, rags and grease marks on all the mirrors in your home !
