Thanks to surface stripping, raw steel can be easily recognized by its grayish appearance and one-sided varnish finish.
Frequently used for vehicle components and mechanical equipment, crude steel sheet can also be used to solidify a gate or weigh down the base of a sunshade.
Perfect for the professional do-it-yourselfer who knows how to weld, has the tools to handle it and has a sharp technique. Depending on its thickness, the raw steel is oiled and able to withstand the weight of vehicles, abrasion and impact. However, to prevent rusting, galvanizing (as forgalvanized steel) or varnishing (to preserve its color) is necessary.
Raw steel boasts excellent mechanical strength (tensile strength 35 kg/mm2) and outstanding weldability.
