The raw steel, treated by surface pickling, is quickly distinguished by its gray appearance and its varnished side.
Raw steel sheet is commonly used in the manufacture of automobile and mechanical parts, and is also used to reinforce gates or to ballast parasol bases, among other uses.
Ideal for expert DIYers who have mastered welding, have the appropriate handling equipment, and are familiar with their techniques. Depending on its thickness, raw, oiled steel can support the weight of vehicles and resist abrasion and impacts.
However, it requires galvanizing (similar to galvanized steel) or varnishing (to maintain its color) to prevent corrosion. The S355MC raw steel sheet, with its high mechanical strength (35 kg/mm2 in tensile strength), offers excellent weldability.
(*) Raw material, this sheet has more or less significant scratches. Depending on your project, it is advisable to choose a film-coated metal sheet.
(*)(*) This material may also have a haze or may be curved upon delivery depending on the thickness selected.
