Aluminium

What are the characteristics of aluminium ?

Light, stylish and aesthetically pleasing, aluminum has a matt silver-gray appearance and is equally at home indoors (ideal for renovation or decoration) and outdoors (weather-resistant). Aluminum sheet is an excellent material for creating hard-wearing, easy-to-clean work surfaces.

What are the uses of aluminium sheet ?

Aluminum is a material that has a place in many aspects of our daily lives. In construction and architecture (roofing or facades), in the automotive industry (made-to-measure aluminum plates for renovation projects), in interior design (aluminum furniture or sculptures) and for your kitchen.

Aluminum has many applications in common with stainless steel when it comes to food protection. You can create customized aluminum skirting boards, baseboards or credenzas.

What thicknesses are our aluminium sheets produced in ?

We offer several types of aluminum sheet in different thicknesses. They vary in thickness from 1 to 10 mm, depending on the material. You can choose the size that suits you best from our wide range of aluminum.

What thickness of plate should I use to walk on it ?

To guarantee maximum rigidity, we recommend using a plate with a minimum thickness of 2 mm, taking all surfaces into account. Rigidity is essential for the resistance to deformation, durability and stability of building materials or mechanical parts. However, it must be balanced with other properties such as flexibility, depending on the specific needs of the application.

How do I install aluminium sheet easily ?

Installing aluminum plate can seem daunting, but with the right instructions and a little patience, it's a project you can do yourself. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you install aluminum plate with ease :

  1. Plate preparation : Before starting, make sure the aluminum plate is clean and free of debris. You can use a soft cloth and soapy water to clean the surface.
  2. Fixing the plate : Composite plates are easily fixed by gluing or screwing. We recommend that you install your panels using mastic adhesive only, as it's more aesthetically pleasing and will last longer. Choose cartridge silicone.
  3. Finishing : When using silicone finishes, position them on the panels before they are fixed to the wall, so that the whole assembly can be installed at the same time.

With these steps, you should be able to install an aluminum plate with ease. Remember, the key is to take your time and pay attention to detail.
